Meet Eli James, a professional editor with over a decade of experience in the industry. A graduate of the Orange County School of the Arts' Film & TV conservatory, Eli has honed his skills as a freelance editor and has a keen understanding of the art of storytelling through the medium of film.

What sets him apart from the rest is his strong emotional connection to the material he works on. He understands the importance of cutting based on emotion and landing that emotion, whether it be through silence or by the length of a shot. He’s a perfectionist and considers all aspects of the edit, including sound, music, vfx, and gfx to ensure his cuts leave nothing to the imagination. By commanding all these elements, he strives to create the best final product possible.

Eli is also a great collaborator and listener, having worked in team settings throughout his career. He's able to understand the vision of a director or producer and think critically to solve any problems that may arise. He can speak to his work and justify any edit decisions he makes, bringing fresh ideas to the table wherever applicable.
